Top 5 AU Management Books for October 2009

We almost had an entirely new lineup for October! But I guess the number one book just shows how much we like to stay in our comfort zones.

  1. Who Moved My Cheese?
    by Spencer Johnson
Jumping Jarlsberg! It’s moved back into the Top 5 again! The book that “shows how to anticipate change, adapt quickly” and “enjoy the change”. The only thing that doesn’t seem to be changing much is the popularity of this book.
  2. John Ilhan: A Crazy Life
    by Dubkowski and Reed
Started prior to his untimely death in 2007, A Crazy Life provides insights on the founder of the successful mobile telephone company Crazy John’s. Completed with cooperation from John’s family and friends, it’s billed as a blueprint for professional and personal success.
  3. $21 Challenge
by Fiona Lippey and Jackie Gower
After hearing on today’s news that Sydney has some of the most expensive groceries in the world, feeding your family on $21 a week seems even more incredible. Filled with recipes, menu plans and tips, $21 Challenge just might help you save money, get through a
rough patch, or cope with unexpected bills.
  4. Think One Team
    by Graham Winter
There is no “i” in “team”. But if you turn the “m” upside down, add the “e” … oh, never mind. Told as a leadership fable, Think One Team takes you through the process of turning silos of workers in an organisation into a functioning team.
  5. Marcus Padley: Stock Market Secrets
    by Marcus Padley
From the publisher’s description: “With global markets crumbling, and many of the world’s leading markets entering into depression” … you’d think people would have learned! Padley’s secrets are secrets no longer.
