(Episode 355; 14 minutes 00) There’s probably no surprise that more collaboration improves your work productivity. A study sponsored by Verizon and Cisco (Meetings Around the World II: Charting the Course of Advanced Collaboration) has been the first to quantify these benefits.

The survey found that:

  • The majority of organizations deploying UC&C (Unified Communications and Collaboration) report they are more successful than their peers compared to those not deploying UC&C (70 percent versus 47 percent).
  • Of organizations deploying UC&C, 40 percent plan to increase spending.
  • More than 80 percent of organizations that have not yet deployed UC&C tools plan to deploy some form in the next two to three years.

In today’s BTalk Australia Ron Gauci from Verizon Business talks about the rise of collaboration, why it’s growing so quickly and how Australia compares with the rest of the world.
