(Episode 244; 14min 20) Okay, starving the rich might be an extreme notion, but perhaps there’s scope for our highest earners to put a bit more money into the public purse and spend slightly less on equipment for their yachts.

That’s certainly the view of Dr Richard Dennis from the Australia Institute. Last October he wrote a paper “The Case For a New Tax Rate”.
