(Episode 230: 10min 26) Ernest Shackleton’s 1914 Antarctic expedition went badly wrong when his ship, Endurance, was crushed in pack ice. It started an amazing journey that lived up to his ship’s name. It’s a story of survival that can provide inspiration for all of us in these difficult economic times.

In this edition of BTalk Australia Phil Dobbie talks to Paul Kessler, a man who is no stranger to adventure himself, having travelled to Antarctica to trace Shackleton’s journey. He is co-author of “Leading at the Edge: Leadership Lessons from the Extraordinary Saga of Shackleton’s Antartic Expedition”.

As Managing Director of The Syncretics Group Paul Kessler advises businesses on leadership skills, using the Shackleton story to illustrate the traits that will deliver successful outcomes.

Paul will be visiting Australia next month to present seminars for Team Management Systems.
